Molly Simpson
Assistant Director for Service
Molly Simpson is the Assistant Director for Service, working with both the Office of Engaged Learning and the Office of Spiritual Life to connect the Baylor campus with the community in meaningful ways that lead to mutual transformation. She served in pastoral ministry in local churches for eighteen years before joining the Baylor staff.
Molly grew up in the Kansas City area and came to Waco for the first time as a college student. Following graduation with her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Baylor, she received a Master of Divinity Degree from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University. An ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church, she served at congregations large and small in Kansas and Texas. Molly has a passion for helping people discover the depths of God’s love, experience the transforming work of the Holy Spirit, and engage in their neighborhoods to live more faithfully as a blessing to others.
Molly is married to the Rev. Ben Simpson, also a Baylor alumnus, who is the Associate Director of Spiritual Formation at Baylor’s George W. Truett Seminary. They returned to Waco in 2016 and love raising their two kids, Joy and David, in this amazing community.
