Baylor University Spiritual Life Offers Ash Wednesday and Lenten Prayers

Ash Wednesday Cross

Christians of several traditions around the world observe Lent in preparation to Holy Week. Through several spiritual practices, we prepare our hearts for Holy Week, when we remember the sacrificial death and victorious resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Ash Wednesday Prayers

On Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2021, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Baylor Spiritual Life will set up a table outside of the Bobo in observance of Ash Wednesday. Individuals are invited to visit, pick up a prayer guide and receive a small cross as a token in remembrance of our frail human condition and God’s great mercy.

Online Lenten Prayers

On each Friday of Lent (Feb. 19, Feb. 26, March 5, March 12, March 19, March 26, April 2) at 12:15 p.m., Baylor Spiritual Life invites our community to join us on Zoom (via bit.ly/bulent21) for midday prayers. These short services will include prayers from the Psalms, moments of confession and intercession, as well as readings from different Christian traditions.
